A roll-off dumpster is the open-top steel container you see parked in a driveway or job site — delivered on a truck, left for you to fill, then hauled away when you're done. At Flagship Dumpster Rental we deliver roll-off dumpsters across Erie and Erie County on one flat-rate price, and because we own our own trucks and containers out of our yard on Cranberry St, the crew that drops your container is the same crew that picks it up.
This page covers how our pricing and booking actually work. If you already know what size you need, jump to our dumpster size guide; if you're still deciding what kind of job you're dealing with, our full list of services breaks down the difference between residential, construction, and cleanout work.

How Flat-Rate Pricing Works
Every roll-off quote we give over the phone is a single number, and that number covers four things: delivery of the container to your driveway or job site, the rental period you book it for, a tonnage allowance sized to the container, and pickup when you're finished. You won't get a separate delivery fee, a fuel line item, or a surprise charge tacked on at pickup — what we quote you on the phone is what you pay, as long as you stay within the weight and material limits we go over when we book the job.
Because pricing depends on container size and what you're filling it with — household debris, roofing shingles, concrete, and yard waste don't weigh the same — we ask a few questions up front rather than posting one flat number online for every job. If you want a sense of typical cost ranges before you call, our dumpster rental cost guide walks through it in more detail.
We Own Our Trucks — We're Not a Broker
A lot of "local" dumpster sites you'll find online are actually lead-generation operations: you fill out a form, and your job gets resold to whichever hauler bids on it that day. You may never talk to the same company twice, and you have no real way of knowing who's actually showing up. Flagship Dumpster Rental isn't that. Owner Rob Kaminski started the company in 2016, and we've run it out of our own yard at 1600 Cranberry St in Erie ever since — ten years now.
Because we own our trucks and containers outright, the person who answers the phone knows the fleet, the driver who delivers your container works for us, and there's one company to call if a pickup date needs to move. You can read more about how the business got started on our about page.
Sizing and Booking Over the Phone
We don't run an online quote form. Call us at (814) 240-4177, tell us what the job is — a bathroom gut, a roof tear-off, a full-house cleanout — and we'll recommend a size based on what that job actually generates, not a generic chart. That's usually faster and more accurate than guessing off a size calculator, and it means you're not paying for a 30-yard container when a 15 would've done the job.
We're open Monday through Friday, 6am to 6pm, and Saturday, 7am to 3pm, closed Sunday. Call before noon and we can usually get a container to you the same day. Our size guide covers dimensions and typical loads for every container we run if you want to look before you call.
Driveway Protection Is Standard, Not an Upsell
Every container we drop goes down on boards, not bare steel on bare asphalt or concrete. That's standard on every delivery, not something we charge extra for or offer as an add-on. It matters more here than in a lot of places — Erie's winters put driveways and slabs through repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and a heavy container dropped directly on a stressed driveway can do real damage.
If you've got a narrow driveway, a tight side yard, or need the container placed somewhere unusual, mention it when you call and we'll work out placement before the truck ever shows up.
One Rental Program, Every Size and Job
The same flat-rate model applies whether you're renting a 10-yard container for a garage cleanout in Millcreek or a 40-yard container for a commercial teardown in Harborcreek. We run five sizes total, from a 10-yard up to a 40-yard, and we help you match the container to the job rather than pushing whatever's sitting in the yard that week.
If your project is more specific — a roofing tear-off, a construction site, an estate cleanout, or a same-day emergency haul — our individual service pages go into the details for that job type.

Roll-Off Dumpster Rental across Erie and Erie County
We're based at 1600 Cranberry St in Erie's outer downtown industrial area, and most of our roll-off jobs are still in the towns our business has served the longest: Millcreek, Harborcreek, Summit Township, and Wesleyville. We've since grown to cover the rest of Erie County — towns like North East, Fairview, and Edinboro — and some jobs into neighboring Crawford County to the south.
Placing a container on your own driveway or property generally doesn't require a permit. If a job needs the container to sit in the street or public right-of-way instead, contact the City of Erie Bureau of Streets first and build in some lead time before you need it delivered. For general permit questions in the city, the City of Erie Permits & Planning office is the right place to start, and Erie County can point you toward county-level requirements if your project is outside city limits.

FAQs
Roll-Off Dumpster Rental questions, answered
What exactly does the flat rate include?
Delivery of the container, the rental period you book, a tonnage allowance sized to that container, and pickup when you're done — all in one number we give you over the phone. There's no separate delivery charge or fuel surcharge added later.
Can I get a dumpster delivered the same day I call?
Usually, yes, if you call before noon and we have the size you need available. We're open Monday through Friday from 6am to 6pm and Saturday from 7am to 3pm, closed Sunday. Same-day isn't guaranteed on every call, but it's the norm rather than the exception.
How long can I keep the dumpster?
Your flat rate includes a rental period that covers most residential and contractor timelines. If your project runs long, call us before the pickup date and we'll work out extra time — we'd rather hear from you than have you rush a job to hit a deadline.
What happens if I go over the weight limit?
Each size comes with a tonnage allowance built into the flat rate. If your load runs heavier than that — which happens most often with concrete, dirt, or shingles — we'll bill the extra weight at cost. Tell us up front what you're loading so we can recommend a size with enough allowance to begin with.
Do I need a permit to put a dumpster on my property?
Generally no, if the container stays on your own driveway or property. If it needs to sit in the street or public right-of-way, contact the City of Erie Bureau of Streets before your delivery date to check what's required.
Are you a broker, or do you actually own the trucks?
We own our trucks and containers outright and run them out of our own yard on Cranberry St in Erie. Your job doesn't get resold to another hauler — the company you call is the company that shows up.
